SPOKANE, Wash. - Court documents released on Wednesday reveal that cop shooter Charlie Wallace had been indicted on five additional counts of heroin trafficking. One of those counts was possession with the intent to distribute 100 grams or more.
Prosecutors say that Wallace has been active in the drug scene for years. When police arrested him in April, they thought that he was selling heroin for at least a year.
He was not the only one in trouble. Gary Erwin Douglass, Samuel William Wright, James Clayton Lindsay, Frisco San Juan Ayala and Brian Lee Sellers also were indicted with Wallace.
Police had been watching this drug ring from April 2011 until February 2012 and finally arrested Wallace a couple months back.
He had a shotgun and a pistol with him, which is illegal considering Wallace has 15 felonies on his record.
If Wallace had been convicted, he would have been looking at spending the rest of his life in federal penitentiary.
