SoCal Running Back Gerard Wicks Commits to Washington State

The recruits keep flying in for Mike Leach and the Washington State football program. Gerard Wicks is the latest one to say he wants to be a Cougar.

Wicks, from Southern California, verbally committed to the program this week, taking to Twitter on Wednesday to say simply "Washington State Commit". He also included a picture of himself wearing a WSU hat.

The high school junior received several scholarship offers, including offers from UCLA, Tennessee and Arizona State.

Scout.com has Wicks as a 2-star recruit. Rivals has him as a 3-star.

He scored 11 touchdowns last year for his high school team, averaging six yards per carry.
