KHQ.COM - Spokane Police report to KHQ that a Level III Sex Offender has been booked on 1st Degree Child Molestation after an incident at the Northtown Mall.>>
SPOKANE, Wash. - According to the Spokane Police Dept. last Thursday just after 6pm an 11-year-old and her 5-year-old sister were playing in Bumpers Family Fun Center at Northtown Mall while their mom shopped.>>

FROM KHQ'S ALEX ROZIER: I've confirmed convicted level three sex offender Richard Payne, arrested yesterday for 1st degree child molestation, has posted bond and was released from jail. Police arrested Payne for inappropriate contact with a 5 year old girl at the Northtown Mall last week.

Deputies and firefighters responded to a car crash in Spokane Valley Monday afternoon near the intersection of 4th and Blake.

Deputies say the SUV was heading south on Blake when it was struck by another car, causing it to flip onto its top in a nearby yard. One person was able to get out of the SUV, but the driver had to be pulled out through the rear lift gate. Injuries appear to be minor. >>
