KENNEWICK, Wash. -- In the Intense Conference championship game, the Tri-Cities Fever beat the Wichita Wild, 51-30. Fever quarterback Houston Lillard went 18-27, throwing for 141 yards and two touchdowns. Ed Berry and Jamar Howard each caught one of Lillard's touchdown passes. Dennis Kennedy ran for 11 yards and one touchdown. Steven Whitehead also ran for a touchdown.
For the second straight season, the Fever get a spot in the United Bowl. If Saturday the Green Bay Blizzards beats the Sioux Falls Storm, then Tri-Cities would host the United Bowl. Otherwise it will be a championship rematch at Sioux Falls.
