Three People Injured In Boating Accident On Priest Lake - Spokane, North Idaho News & Weather KHQ.com

Bonner County Sheriff's Office Press Release:

The Bonner County Sheriff's Office is investigating a two vessel collision which occurred in Luby Bay on Priest Lake at approximately 11:30 p.m. on July 4, 2012.

Both vessels sustained significant damages and there were numerous injuries.  A total of seven people were on board the two vessels. There were two people on board the 31' boat and five people on the speed boat.  All of the individuals are Washington residents.  Three individuals were transported from the scene; one via Life Flight to Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene and one via ground ambulance to the Newport Hospital and one via personal vehicle to the Newport Hospital.  All of the injured were treated and released.  The identities of the individuals involved are being withheld at this time.

The investigation in this matter is continuing and further details will be released as they become available.
