Republican Does Damage Control After Saying People Don't Die Of Cancer

HUFFINGTONPOST.COM - Republican congressional candidate Chris Collins, who last week caused a stir when he claimed that "people now don't die" from prostate and breast cancer, clarified his comments Saturday, stating that his criticism of Obama's health care law was taken out of context.

Collins, who is challenging Rep. Kathy Hochul (D-N.Y.) in her upcoming reelection bid, told the Batavian that his comments were intended to reflect the great strides made in cancer treatments over the past ten years -- as well as the jump in cost of those treatments. click here to read more

    SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane County Sheriff's Office and the Spokane Police Dept. responded to a fatal drive by shooting early Wednesday afternoon in the 7000 block of North Atlantic.
    SPOKANE, Wash. - Law enforcement now has in their possession the vehicle of the man they believe shot and killed Fabian McBride Wednesday in Spokane in the 7000 block of North Atlantic, just outside the Spokane city limits. When detectives located the vehicle the suspect, 19-year-old Issiah Schauman, was not inside so the search for him continues.
