BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Boise authorities have charged a 35-year-old man with driving drunk while he had five children in his car.
Cory Ashbaker faces charges of excessive DUI and injury to child following his arrest Saturday night.
Boise police say Ashbaker registered a .222 blood-alcohol content after taking a breath test at the Ada County Jail. That's three times the legal limit of .08.
The Idaho Statesman reports (http://bit.ly/PMX9bh ) that Boise police pulled Ashbaker over after seeing him drive a Honda Accord with a flat tire. Inside the car were five children between the ages of 8 and 11 and a strong smell of alcohol.
Ashbaker is scheduled to make an initial court appearance Wednesday.
