Claire Graham joined the NBC Right Now team in November 2011, and co-anchors NBC Right Now Local News Today. Claire is happy to be part of such an exciting morning show and news team. She even loves waking up at 1:30 every morning.
Claire grew up in Tucson, Arizona, where she earned a degree in Musical Theatre at the University of Arizona. After graduation, Claire interned with Tucson's NBC affiliate, and quickly sparked a passion for broadcast journalism.
One of Claire's favorite stories featured "Team Read," a volunteer program where teenagers and retired teachers read with struggling elementary school students to help improve the children's reading skills.
When she's not working, Claire spends as much time as possible with her rescued Yorkie, "Promo" who she adopted in Walla Walla. She also enjoys emceeing events for local organizations, including the Pet Over Population Prevention "Furball." Claire always loves getting the chance to sing the National Anthem at sporting events, and enjoys taking in all the fabulous, unique traits southeastern Washington has to offer.
