Last Spa Owner Arrested; Appears In Court Today

SPOKANE, Wash. - Eight days after local and federal agencies raided day spas, which they believed were fronts for prostitution rings, as well as arrested several spa owners, the last spa owner is behind bars.

She's identified as Montana spa owner Brandy Birkland. She faces charges of money laundering and promoting prostitution.

She has her first appearance in Spokane County Superior Court Wednesday afternoon.
