Free skin cancer screenings for the public

 

KENNEWICK, Wash. - On Monday, July 23rd, the Skin Cancer Foundation's Road to Health Skin Tour is stopping in Kennewick to offer free full body skin cancer screenings to the public. 

Dr. Francesco D'Alessandro, (MD) Dr. Sidney B. Smith, (MD) and Dr. Jeffrey C. Stiles (MD) have donated their time and services to the foundation and are conducting the screenings.

The foundation says skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the US, with more than 3.5 million cases diagnosed annually. Workers with the foundation also say skin cancer is one of the most preventable and curable forms of cancer if it is detected early.

The customized RV where the screenings are held will be parked outside the Rite Aid at 1901 N. Steptoe Street in Kennewick.

Screenings will be free to the public, and held Monday, July 23, 2012, from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Deputies say they don't know if he went over the falls, so rescue teams have been looking above and below it.

(AP) - A 20-year-old man who was intentionally run over at a Grays Harbor County campground has died of his injuries.      KOMO-TV reports that Jimmy Smith-Kramer of Taholah was one of two victims run over by a pickup truck Saturday.      Tacoma General Hospital officials confirmed he had died late Sunday.
