Vicki Furrer Proud Of Her Olympian

Posted: Updated:

SPOKANE, Wash. - Vicki Furrer spent her morning watching the entire Today Show because her daughter, Amanda, was going to be interviewed live. Amanda is going to her first Olympics, competing in the 50m rifle on August 4th. When Vicki watched her daughter on national television, she saw her little daughter in a different light than most of us did.

'I see the 12-year-ok in front of me, and then I think, wow, she has grown up an she is really mature. She's just having fun!', Vicki said. It's something that the family would have never imagined. 'It's something you would love for your child, but nothing you dream about. It's over the top,' said Vicki.

Vicki and her husband will be leaving on Tuesday to cheer their daughter on in person. Amanda has been tweeting up a storm in London with pictures and behind the scenes look at evergreen journey. If you would like to follow Amanda on Twitter, her handle is @Amanda_Furrer
