Spokane Police: Carjacking Suspect Located In Pullman

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE POLICE DEPT: On Saturday at about 10:30pm Spokane Police responded to a possible carjacking at the Grocery Outlet, 3rd/Maple. The victim was waiting by his running vehicle when a male approached him and drug him away from his car. The suspect jumped in the car and a struggle ensued between the victim and suspect. 

The suspect began driving away while dragging the victim who was hanging onto the car. The suspect drove into a light pole, knocking the victim to the ground. The suspect fled the scene in the victim's car.

The victim was treated and released from a local hospital for minor injuries.

A little after 2am Sunday morning Pullman Police located the victim's vehicle while investigating a disable vehicle/DUI. Upon discovering the vehicle was stolen Pullman Police detained the suspect and contacted the Spokane Police.

Spokane Police contacted Pullman and returned the suspect to the Spokane County Jail. 45-year old Damon Williams was booked into jail for 1st Degree Robbery and Theft of a Motor Vehicle.

    ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - The Alaska Department of Law stood by a judge’s sentence that calls for no jail time for an Anchorage man who authorities say offered a woman a ride and choked her until she was unconscious. Justin Schneider, 34, pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault in the case. A kidnapping charge was dropped as part of the plea deal.
