Washington State Patrol: 3-Year-Old Boy Dies In Car Crash

MABTON, Wash. (AP) - The Washington State Patrol says a 3-year-old boy was struck and killed Saturday night after he ran in front of an SUV in the eastern Washington city of Mabton.
    
Julian Vargas-Lua, of Mabton, died at Sunnyside Community Hospital.
    
Authorities say the boy ran into the street where an SUV driven by 19-year-old Juan Quintero, of Mabton, struck him.
    
The patrol is investigating.
