Power Line Down On Division Street Causes Traffic Delays

KHQ.COM - Division street is now back open between Magnesium and the Y in both directions after a power line snapped across the highway in front of the Wendle auto dealership on Wednesday morning.

The power line caused several small fires in the grass lot next to the break and Avista worked to stretch a new power line across the road.

Officials are unable to tell us at this time why the cable broke.

Twenty-year-old Michelle Childers and her husband, 22-year-old Daniel Childers, were taking a recreational drive along the Lochsa River on September 5. Michelle says they had driven down a dead end road and were on their way back out when, somehow, a limb from a spruce tree came through the passenger window and impaled her neck.
