POST FALLS, Idaho - The 7th Annual Scleroderma/Bobbi
Salmon fundraiser was another huge success at the Links Golf Course this year.
Links Head Golf Pro Patti
Marquis' friend and fellow golf professional Bobbi Salmon (pictured on left) was diagnosed with
scleroderma almost 10 years ago. Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease like
rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and multiple sclerosis in which the body's immune
system attacks its own tissue.
The disease which literally means "hard
skin," can cause thickening and tightening of the skin as well as
serious damage to internal organs. It's a life threatening illness and this event has
raised over 70k in the past 7 years.
This year's Scleroderma/Bobbi Salmon event raised more than $16,000. Congratulations to Patti Marquis for hosting another successful event, and a big thank you to all who participated!
