CHELAN, Wash. - A wildfire burning near Chelan has quickly grown to about 1,000 acres.
The fire started Sunday morning and is located about seven miles northwest of Chelan near Antoine Creek Road and Highway 97.
The Wenatchee World is reporting that at least 14 homes and outbuildings are threatened by the fire and deputies warned the owners of the danger nearby.
The fire is growing fast due to dry fuels such as grass, brush and timber.
We are told firefighters are attacking this wildfire from both the ground and the air.
