SPOKANE, Wash. - It's hard to believe he's only 11. Carson Lueders is taking the music scene by storm and now his work is hitting a worldwide audience on a worldwide platform.
When he was five years old Lueders went on the radio and played a song for a local station. That station recorded the piece on video and that recording marked the start to a very successful few years. Since then his family recorded dozens of songs and put them on YouTube. To date, those recordings have been viewed by people in more than 100 countries.
Carson's mom Diane Lueders says she's not just seeing clicks on the Internet, she's seeing a whole lot of girls who think they could click with Carson, too.
"The face is very helpful," Lueders said. "Carson is very humble so he doesn't get all blown up or big about it so he takes it in as a compliment and is very grateful for it."
Still, Carson isn't afraid to speak the truth.
"I get marriage proposals like every single week," Carson said. "I think it's kind of weird, but it's a compliment."
At the end of the day Carson is still a kid who is big on his bike and loves the lake.
"He's just a boy who likes to play around and he just wants to make people happy with his music," Diane Lueders said.
Carson said if music doesn't work out he wants to be a doctor like his dad. He added that even if he can't make it professionally he hopes that he will still be able to send a positive message to anyone who listens to his work.
