Vicious Assault Near Highbridge Park, Spokane Police Trying To Track Down Suspect

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE FROM SPD: On July 4, 2012, just after 8am, SPD officers responded to a local hospital to contact an assault victim. The victim had been severely beaten and burned at his "camp" near Sunset Blvd and Government Way sometime during the night. Detectives responded and were able to locate the scene, a large gravel/grass pasture near the intersection. 

Further investigation led detectives to contact a nearby Food Mart. Detectives located surveillance video showing the suspect (wearing a white T-shirt and tan baseball hat) and the victim inside the store prior to the assault.
