UPDATE: Sparkler Bomb Forces I-90 Closure

UPDATE: The bomb was just sitting there, it was not in a backpack. It was on the right side of the walkway up to the bridge, closest to the trees. There are no suspects at this time. Spokane police urge anyone with information to call Crime Check.

UPDATE: Right the bomb is being taken to Fairchild where it will be detonated and processed for evidence. There are no suspects at this time.

UPDATE: All lanes of I-90 in the eastbound lanes at Altamont are now back open. As soon as we learn more details we'll post them here on KHQ.com, Facebook and our Twitter news feed.

All lanes of eastbound I-90 will be closed for a short time while the team removes the device from the base of the pedestrian overpass near 3rd and Regal. 3rd Ave. will also be closed at Altamont
