PUYALLUP, Wash. (AP) - A 30-year-old man riding his motorcycle in Puyallup was struck and killed by an unsecured and unmanned septic truck rolling down a hill.
Pierce County sheriff's office spokesman Ed Troyer says the truck's driver told deputies he had set the parking brake, but an inspection showed the brake had not been set.
The truck rolled about 500 feet down a hill before striking the man. It's owned by an Eatonville company.
Troyer says deputies cited the man for negligent driving and lack of control of the truck.
