
SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - I-90 is back open Wednesday night after one person was taken to the hospital after a single vehicle crash that could have been much worse. It happened just after 9:00 PM on Interstate 90 near the Pines Exit.
A dodge minivan heading west and traveling at a high rate of speed lost control and crashed through a light pole and guard rail, rolling multiple times before coming to rest down a short embankment.
Just a short distance in front of the accident a Washington State Trooper was Helping a motorist change a tire when he heard a loud smash turned around to see the car flying toward them. The two were unharmed.
The driver of the Minivan then took off with the trooper giving chase. He caught up to him about a half mile away from the scene and was able to take him into custody.
The teenage driver is now facing reckless driving charges and was taken to the hospital to be checked out amazingly he only had a few bumps and a scratch on his forehead.
