7 RBI's by Gallo Leads to 16-4 WIn

Spokane, WA - It didn't take long for first-round pick Joey Gallo to introduce himself, and his thunderous bat, to the Avista Stadium faithful. In his second plate appearance of the night, the left-handed slugger drilled a 1-2 offering from Tri-City starter Shane Broyles (4-3) deep into the Spokane night. Three innings later, Gallo bested his first blast, rocketing a grand slam out of the stadium as the Indians defeated the Dust Devils 16-4 in front of 4,169 fans for Kids Operate the Ballpark Night presented by Itron, KISS 98.1, 590 KQNT, and Northwest Mama Magazine.

Gallo, the 39th overall pick in the 2012 draft, finished the night 3-5 with two home runs and seven RBI; both season bests for an Indians player. The three hits raised Gallo's average to .313 after his first four Northwest League games and he now has a total of 20 longballs on the year after hitting 18 for the AZL Rangers.

Not to be outdone by their powerful new teammate, Chris Garia picked up four hits and scored four times while Royce Bolinger extended his hitting streak to 20 games with a trio of hits and three RBI. Bolinger's hitting streak tied Tri-City's Tom Murphy for the longest in the NWL this season.

Spokane starter Connor Sadzeck (1-3) was sterling in picking up his first professional win, allowing just one hit and no earned runs in six innings.
