HAYDEN, Idaho - Idaho State Police are investigating a crash that happened Monday night on US 95 near Hayden at Boekel Road.
ISP arrived on scene around 10PM and the crash caused several lanes of 95 to be shut down in that area.
According to police on scene, 19-year-old Thomas Kennard of Spirit Lake, was driving his pickup was heading eastbound on Boekel when he ran a stop sign and t-boned an SUV heading southbound on US 95.
The SUV rolled and ended up in the median. Three adults, 30-year-old Renee Hanson, 65-year-old Dean Flatt, 60-year-old Sherry Flatt, and three children, ages, 6, 2, and 26 days, were inside the SUV and transported to the Kootenai Medical Center with unknown injuries. All were wearing seatbelts.
Kennard was not wearing a seatbelt and was actually ejected from the vehicle during the crash. He was looked at by EMTs on scene and was released.
The crash is under investigation and at this point is it unknown if alcohol played a factor.
