I wonder what Shock majority owner Brady Nelson thinks about this one: the AFL in China.
The league made it official this week, saying the "League will showcase games in China to lay the groundwork for a six-team, 10-game league beginning in the fall of 2014."
And what's more: Commissioner Jerry Kurz said expansion won't stop there.
I wonder.
The AFL is, in reality, a two-year-old league. It was rebuilt more like the old af2 than the AFL that disintegrated for a variety of reasons. Does Kurz, Ron Jaworski, Dick Vermeil and Marty Judge - the committee tasked with making the international project work - really know what they're getting themselves into?
I wonder.
And I hope, for the viability of the AFL, they do.
