CWU football features new defensive coaches

ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- Two new coaches are ready to start with Central Washington University as the season opens Saturday at Texas A&M Kingsville. Malik Roberson takes over defensive coordinator duties. Roberson has played and coached all over the northwest. Former CFL lineman Dario Romero is the new defensive line coach.

"Those two guys have really brought a lot of excitement, energy, experience to the defensive side of the ball. Our players are really enjoying playing for those guys," head coach Blaine Bennett said.
