DEVELOPING STORY: CDA Police Investigating Death Of 4-Month-Old

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE FROM THE COEUR D' ALENE POLICE DEPT: Coeur d'Alene Police detectives are investigating the death of a four-month old male infant that died at his residence in the 1900 block of Appleway Ave.

The child was found unconscious by his father at 2:55pm on Wednesday August 29th. Medical personnel attempted life saving measures but the child was unresponsive.

Detectives will continue interviews today and have scheduled an autopsy on the infant. No further information will be released at this time. The child's name will not be released until all next of kin have been notified.

Twenty-year-old Michelle Childers and her husband, 22-year-old Daniel Childers, were taking a recreational drive along the Lochsa River on September 5. Michelle says they had driven down a dead end road and were on their way back out when, somehow, a limb from a spruce tree came through the passenger window and impaled her neck.>>
