UPDATE: One Person Dead Following Motorcycle Crash In Stevens County

UPDATE: The motorcyclist that was killed has been identified as 24-year-old Shawn Towry of Mead. Next of kin has been notified. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Corrie Sams, she was not injured.

LOON LAKE, Wash. - The Washington State Patrol says one person is dead following a crash between a car and a motorcycle on Highway 292 in between Springdale and Loon Lake.

Troopers say on Monday a car was traveling westbound on 292 when it was trying to make a left turn on E. Jumpoff Joe Rd. A motorcyclist traveling in the same direction didn't see the car stopped and collided with it. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and died at scene.
