Updated:
John R. Adams is running for WA Insurance Commissioner John R. Adams is running for WA Insurance Commissioner

Political Party: Republican Party
Education: BA in Business, Government and Society / U of Washington
Spouse: Margaret S. Adams
Religion: Christian
Date of Birth: 3/28/40 (almost in a place before time began)

Background:
US Army (Vietnam) 1962-1965; U of W 69; Hartford Insurance Group, Marsh McLennan, Seattle General Agency

Top Priorities

1.    Expand the Consumer Protection function to encompass the Business, Farm, Marine, Aviation and other lines of insurance that are not well covered at this time.

2.    To better control CREDIT SCORING that so unfairly discriminates against those currently economically impaired and those who have no credit score due to economics. Drivers and Homeowners are now being overcharged

3.    Work to make it easier for new business's to obtain insurance in Admitted Markets at regular rates Small business is the largest driver of employment.

4.    Make the State of Washington a much more attractive place for competitive insurance companies to return to. (we need to preserve and enhance our Domestic market place)

5.    Continue to push for the rights to choose what insurance you need to purchase, especially in Healthcare. ( we have various needs, religious beliefs and desire to be different – we like Liberty to choose)

6.    To root out fraud and mismanagement

7.    Assist small agents in obtaining markets in accordance with their background and financial ability so they can better serve their many different clients.

I could go on and on about Healthcare and the coming of the "Health Insurance Exchanges" but there currently is only suspicion and few facts except over $100million has been sent to Washington with little or no oversight.
