Sheriff Detectives Investigating House Fire In Medical Lake - Spokane, North Idaho News & Weather KHQ.com

MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. - Spokane County Sheriff Detectives are investigating a house fire in Medical Lake near Brooks and Martin St. that they are calling "suspicious."

Deputy Chamberlin with the Spokane County Sheriff's Office told KHQ Sunday that detectives are investigating leads at this time and looking into potential suspects.

No fatalities have been reported due to the fire, but a forensics team and major crimes detectives are on scene. 

Neighbors told KHQ they heard what sounded like a gunshot around the time the fire broke out. Chamberlin could not confirm if any guns were fired.

The investigation is ongoing and new details may not be available until Monday.
