PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: On September 9, 2012, Spokane County Sheriff's Deputy T. Liljenberg responded to Walgreens at 12315 North Division on a Robbery call.

Deputy Liljenberg spoke with store employees who told him that at about 10:00 a.m., a white male entered the store and asked if he could borrow a cigarette from any of the employees. The employees said the male was between 18 and 20 yrs of age, was between 5'10" and 6' tall and possibly 130-140 pounds.

The employees told the individual they did not smoke.  Employees watched him as he walked through the store.  One of the employees caught the suspect putting cold medicine and vitamins inside his pockets near the rear of the store. The suspect saw the employee and ran towards the front door of the business.

Another female employee was waiting at the front doors and told the suspect to stop. The suspect pushed the employee as she attempted to detain him. The suspect pulled the employee out of the store and fled on foot.

Detectives are asking for assistance in identifying the suspect in the photos attached.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Keyser at 509-477-6611.
