The Idaho football team is still looking for its first win of 2012, as they stand 0-3 for the season so far. But there is still one thing – one shining moment – no one will ever take away from them: that night they played before a huge crowd in Louisiana.

The Vandals fell hard at LSU, losing 63-14 to the Tigers in front of 92,000 fans.

Idaho hung in with the No. 3 team in the country – at least for the first half. It was after that the Tigers sprang to life, scoring 35 unanswered points. They won their 40th-straight non-conference regular season game and scored the most points at Tiger Stadium since 1991 when they scored 70 on Arkansas State.

Despite the loss, playing in Death Valley will always be something to remember for the Vandals who suited up that day.

"Man, it was crazy," said quarterback Dominique Blackman with a huge smile. "It was so fan. In the second quarter and going into halftime, just hearing that crowd, and just being able to use our cadence, it was just an experience that… I just can't ask for it to happen any other way besides my cousin to be there."

"For me it was a big experience and a good experience – for all of us, really," added safety Gary Walker.

Tight end Michael LaGrone said his Vandals played well in the first half.

"We came out and played really hard," he said. "Of course, in the second half there were penalties, but we'll get above that."

With LSU now in the rearview mirror, Idaho (0-3) moves on to a more manageable game against Wyoming (0-3).
