After a series of demoralizing losses, including a stunner against Louisiana-Monroe, John L. Smith finally let it all out.

Smith, a former coach at Idaho who became head coach at Weber State only to leave to become the chief at Arkansas, gave reporters a wakeup call this week. The fiery coach demanded that everyone in the room smile before he started his weekly news conference.

Well then….

Arkansas began the season ranked No. 8, beat Jacksonville State and then fell from grace after losing to Lousiana-Monroe. They were shut out 52-0 last week by No. 1 Alabama.
