Charges Dismissed Against Woman Accused In Death Of Police Officer

Brianna Knapp Brianna Knapp

SANDPOINT, Idaho - 28 year old Brianna Knapp of Clark Fork Idaho was charged with fleeing the scene of an accident resulting in death or injury after police say her pick up struck and killed off duty Spokane police officer Kurt Henson.

Bonner County prosecutors moved to drop the felony charge after prosecutors say they are waiting on more evidence to be processed from the scene.

Knapp pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of driving without privileges and failure to provide insurance. At this time prosecutors believe there is more evidence that could be gathered then bring more charges later against Knapp.
