KENNEWICK, Wash.-- This Saturday parents can give their children a great start for kindergarten by attending the Let's Get Ready Early learning fair.
The fair will be held at the Kennewick branch of the Mid-Columbia Libraries from 10am to 12 pm and will feature resources and organizations that promote early learning.
The address of the library is 1620 S. Union in Kennewick.
Parents will learn fun activities they can do at home to help their kids in school. They can also connect with local organizations that help strengthen kids' school readiness.
"Parents are really their children's first teacher. So they need to have the resources available to them to know what their children need to know before they get into school, what organizations can support them and what activities they can do at home which a lot of these organizations are going to have activities that can be replicated at home," says Sarah Johnson from the Mid-Columbia Libraries.
The event is free and open to the public. For additional information visit midcolumbialibraries.org.
