BLAKE JENSEN: Well it was another beautiful day yesterday thanks to high pressure over the region. That same high pressure that brings us the nice days will also keep the smoke and haze from completely clearing the area.

That high pressure is expected to break down today as a cold front passes...meaning by this afternoon we'll see a few more clouds into the forecast area.

But that's about it. This will pass quickly then more high pressure builds through the weekend and provides sunshine and warm temperatures for the beginning of next week.

Its toward the middle and end of next week that we might finally get our Fall wakeup call. For today though, mostly sunny with increasing clouds late...high temps in the upper 70s.

Today: Mostly sunny, increasing clouds to partly cloudy. W 5-7mph. High: 78°

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny, SW wind 5-15 mph. High: 76°

P.S. Today marks 37 days without any measurable rainfall in Spokane. The last rain we had was only a tenth of an inch on August, 21st.
