Ferris vs. North Central

Another Friday night, another Greater Spokane League double-header at Joe Albi Stadium. The opening game featured Ferris and North Central. NC has not opened the season how they hoped, dropping 2 of the first 3, but a win against the Saxons would be huge for the Indians.

NC stayed in the game early trading touchdowns with Ferris and trailing 14-12 early in the 2nd quarter. In the end though, Ferris was just too much for NC.

They would score the final 17 points of the game as they held North Central to 184 total yards for the game. Ferris (4-1) won the game 31-12.

Mt. Spokane vs. Shadle Park

In the nightcap, Shadle Park's homecoming game was against their 3A rival Mt. Spokane.

The leading passer in the GSL was the difference in this one. Brett Rypien threw for 238 years and 3 touchdowns as Mt. Spokane only managed 63 yards through the air.

Shadle beat the Wildcats (1-4) 30-7, improving to 2-3 on the season.

Lewis and Clark vs. Central Valley

Central Valley hosted Lewis and Clark as they were attempting to improve to 4-1 and keep in striking range of 1st place in the GSL.

LC was never able to get started against the Bears strong defense. They held the Tigers to 130 total yards while Brandon McClung ran for 181 yards and 3 TD's by himself.

 CV shutout the Tigers 31-0.

 Rogers vs. University

Rogers faced a tough task Friday night, traveling to University without Luke Rogers, the leading rusher in the GSL with 822 yards in just 4 games.

They would go on to win 49-20 as quarterback Jeff Beaty led the way with 368 passing yards and 4 touchdowns.
