WSU Student Falls 3 Stories; Transported To Spokane Hospital

PULLMAN, Wash. - Early Friday morning a Washington State University student fell from a third story balcony as he attempted to climb down to a second story balcony.

Pullman Police found the student unconscious and said it appears alcohol was a factor in the incident.

The student, who has not been identified, landed on shrubs and grass and was transported to a hospital here in Spokane. He has since regained consciousness.

The apartment building where the fall happened is on College Hill.

Twenty-year-old Michelle Childers and her husband, 22-year-old Daniel Childers, were taking a recreational drive along the Lochsa River on September 5. Michelle says they had driven down a dead end road and were on their way back out when, somehow, a limb from a spruce tree came through the passenger window and impaled her neck.>>
