SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Spokane Valley Police responded to Ringo's Casino in Spokane Valley a little after the noon hour on Monday when they learned there was a child outside who had been left in a car.

Police arrested the father, 44-year-old Richard Watson, for leaving a child unattended in a vehicle, a gross misdemeanor.

Police believe the baby was in the car for more than an hour while Watson was inside the casino. Watson told police he didn't intend on being in the casino that long.

The child was uninjured and the mother came to take the baby home. KHQ's Alex Rozier spoke with the mother, who didn't want to be interviewed, but she told him that the baby turned one year-old Monday.
