Posted: Updated:

UPDATE: Spokane Police began receiving several emergency calls, directing police to the area of 1600  N. Wall, around 8:30pm. The calls indicated someone may be held against their will by armed subjects inside the home.

Responding officers found 44-year-old Steven Luke and 31-year-old Moises Guevara inside a vehicle parked in front of the house. As officers approached the car, they could see a handgun inside the car.

Luke and Guevara were ultimately arrested and booked into Spokane County Jail for Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Felon in Possession of a firearm. Guevara was also arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine. Officers also determined the handgun had been stolen in a vehicle prowling nearly a year ago.

Officers attempted to contact occupants inside the home to determine if there was a victim inside the home. The homeowner finally came out at the officers direction.  SWAT and Crisis Negotiators were activated and responded to determine if anyone else was inside the home.

After several hours of negotiating, four additional people came out of the house. By 11:30pm, SWAT was able to search the residence, and they did not find anyone inside.  There were no victims of a crime.

In addition to Luke and Guevara, two of the four others had bookable warrants. Danielle Price (33) and Jerry Rice (46)  were arrested and booked into jail. The homeowner returned to her home.

UPDATE 11:45 PM - The SWAT situation is now over. Two males are in custody for being in possession of drugs and a stolen weapon. No one else is in the house.
