UPDATE: Idaho Firefighter Charged With Arson Posts Bond

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A volunteer firefighter charged with intentionally starting a wildfire that destroyed a house, led to the evacuation of about 80 others and burned 440 acres of private land northeast of Boise has bonded out of jail.
    
KTVB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/RfqRSE ) 18-year-old Nathaniel Bartholomew bonded out of the Ada County jail on Wednesday evening, after posting a $5,000 bond.
    
Earlier this week, he appeared in court where he waived a preliminary hearing.
    
His next court appearance on the third-degree arson charge is set for Oct 11.
    
Bartholomew was arrested while fighting the fire on Sept. 17, just hours after the fire started.
