SWAT Raid Medical Lake Home In Connection With Firearm Burglary

Posted: Updated:

SPOKANE, Wash.- Wednesday night Spokane SWAT raided several homes in connection to a burglary of over 20 firearms last weekend.

The weapons were reported stolen by a Medical Lake homeowner Saturday. Wednesday a Spokane County Sheriff got an anonymous tip that the burglar was planning to trade some of those firearms to teenagers in exchange for a vehicle, according to a news release from Deputy Craig Chamberlin.

Investigators then discovered information indicating that the juvenile daughter of the homeowner who made the original report may have been responsible for the theft, along with 20-year-old Cody Wolfley.

Chamberlain said investigators got information suggesting the juvenile daughter was promised a vehicle from 21-year-old Bradley Kelly in exchange for the weapons

Police served warrants at several houses Wednesday afternoon, and found an AK-47 in Kelly's truck Thursday morning.

Detectives expect to make more arrests as the investigation continues.
