OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - A 21-year-old woman faces an 18-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to second-degree murder Thursday in Olympia in the death of her 4-month-old son.
The Olympian reports (http://is.gd/BPonb3 ) the prosecutor and defense lawyer for Rachel Bryan both agreed to recommend the 18-year term when she is sentenced Oct. 18 in Thurston County superior court.
Court papers say Bryan became frustrated with her son in September of last year when he wouldn't stop crying at a home in Grand Mound where she was staying.
She told detectives, "When I get mad, my bipolar comes out."
