You can never have too much of a good thing. No one knows that better than Eastern Washington.

Freshman Vernon Adams has overtaken Kyle Padron as the Eagles' starting quarterback, leading Eastern to back-to-back Big Sky wins. He will get start No. 3 on Saturday against North Dakota.

Coach Beau Baldwin is happy to have two guys he can trust running the offense.

"I don't think I'd be shocking anybody at this point anyway, so it's one of those things where I know Vernon is coming in as the starter this week barring something goofy happening out here," said Baldwin."But I also know that I have two great quarterbacks. Even with the first two games with Kyle starting I wanted Vernon to prepare, and I want Kyle to prepare like a starter as well."

"We're a family, all of us quarterbacks are brothers and we stay together and help each other out," said Adams. "Whoever starts – if Kyle starts, it [Anthony] Vitto starts, if I start – we'll all gonna help each other out no matter what…. Our team has our back. So, whoever the starter is, it really doesn't matter."

Eastern hosts North Dakota at Roos Field on Saturday. The game, at 5 p.m., can be seen live on SWX and via mobile devices through the Syncbak app.
