Dr. Frank Straub Is Officially Spokane's New Chief Of Police

SPOKANE, Wash. - At a swearing-in ceremony held in a conference room within the Spokane Police Department, Mayor Condon did the honors, and Chief Straub took questions. Among topics discussed were the Otto Zehm case, staffing shortages, body cameras and how Straub says he will work to restore public trust within the department.
 
He said his goal is to make this the best mid-size police force in the country, but that it's a "marathon," and everything can't be accomplished in a week.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - A Spokane woman is speaking out after she was dragged about 20 feet by a car, and nearly run over, after purse snatching. Kathy Kohlieber broke her pelvis and had to be sent to Multicare Valley Hospital. She’s been there since the incident Saturday evening around 5 p.m. Kathy says she went to Walmart, “to get a bag of Cosmos caramel corn, which is so good.”
