Walmart Stores Create Nearly 900 New Jobs In Washington State

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - Walmart is opening three new stores across the state on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 7:30 a.m., bringing Walmart's Washington state hiring count up to nearly 900new jobs in 2012. Spokane Valley residents are invited to attend the new Walmart store opening. The store will then open to the public immediately following the grand-opening ceremonies. 

Located at 5500 E. Sprague Ave., the new Walmart is a 147,785-square-foot full-service store. It will be open 24 hours a day.

The new store will be the second in Spokane Valley. It will increase economic activity in the community by boosting tax revenue for the city, drawing additional shoppers from areas outside of the city, and providing about 350 local jobs for residents.
