Assault Turns Deadly In Ferry County

MALO, Wash. - The Ferry County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly assault that happened on Saturday just north of Malo.

Details are limited at this point, but the Sheriff's Department says the victim, Brian Brill, was taken to the hospital following the assault where he later died from his injuries. It has not been released how Brill was assaulted.

Authorities say they do have a suspect in custody, who they have not identified, and will be seeking murder charges in the case.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - The man killed in an early morning crash on Friday has been identified as 34-year-old, Alejandro E. Apodaca. Just before 12:30, Apodaca crashed his car on S. Bowdish Rd. He was traveling South on Bowdish near 17th when he lost control of his car, uprooting a tree in the front yard of a home.
