CI Shenanigans Abruptly Closes Doors Effective Immediately
SPOKANE, Wash. - Employees of CI Shenanigans were surprised Saturday night when they were notified the Restaurant would be closing its doors effective immediately after over 30 years of being in business.
Various employees told KHQ on Sunday that they were expecting the restaurant to close down in the coming months due to the expansion of the Spokane Convention Center, but figured they'd be given much more notice.
The restaurant is owned by RAM International, based out of Lakewood, Washington. According to our partners at The Spokesman Review, the Spokane Public Facilities District paid RAM International $4.5 million in January 2010 for the property. But even the PFD didn't expect the business to close up shop so soon, saying they expected RAM to operate through their lease, which ends on January 31st, 2013.
Our calls to RAM International, which operates about 15 eateries across the northwest, were not immediately returned and as of right now, it is unclear if they plan to close CI Shenanigans permanently or relocate.
