Eleven New Felony Charges For Convicted Sex Offender

Spokane County Sheriff's Department Press Release:

This week 52-year-old Glenn Sapp was convicted of multiple felony sex crimes.  These charges were the result of the Sheriff's Office Sexual Assault Unit's investigation that began in 2011.  Prior to their investigation, Sapp had been convicted of possessing child pornography in Chelan County and was a registered Level I sex offender.

Sexual Assault Unit Detectives obtained evidence in their investigation that linked Sapp to multiple crimes involving a young female that was three and four years old at the time of the crimes.  The Spokane County Forensics Unit was able to link Sapp to images detectives obtained from a camera during their investigation.  Sexual Assault Detectives said the Sheriff's Office Forensics Unit played a vital role in Sapp's convictions for the following crimes:

  • Five counts of Communication with a Minor For Immoral Purposes
  • Two counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
  • Two counts of 1st Degree Rape of a Child
  • Two counts of 1st Degree Child Molestation

Sapp is currently an inmate at the Spokane County Jail.  His sentencing date is set for December 17, 2012.
