10:30PM UPDATE

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane police continue to investigate a robbery and stabbing that sent both the victim and suspect to the hospital.

It happened just after 7:00pm Wednesday night west of downtown near Sunset Boulevard and Rustle Road.

According to officers on scene, a woman was visiting a couple at the Spokane House Hotel when at some point during the evening she stole the victims wallet and tried to take off.

She was chased into the parking lot by the couple. She tied to get away in her car but was stopped by the man who had climbed on the hood, kicking in her windshield.

The woman got out of the car and tried running away, but was chased down. That is when police say she pulled out a knife and stabbed the man in the leg.

Officers were able to take her into custody.

Both were taken to the hospital. The man has a deep stab wound and the woman had to be checked out for cuts to her face.

That woman was booked into the Spokane County Jail on First Degree Robbery charges.

The incident remains under investigation.

8:30PM UPDATE - Police remain in the area to gather evidence. Rustle Rd. is blocked in the area to allow for detectives to work. Still no word on the victims condition or if any arrests have been made.
