The Bullpups of Gonzaga Prep had a chance for an undefeated regular season with a victory against Central Valley this week.

CV was able to get an early 14-0 lead after a touchdown on their opening drive from Grayson Sikes, followed by a fake punt deep in G-Prep territory resulting in a short Brandon McClung touchdown.

The Bullpups would close the gap to 21-14 at the half and 31-28 after the 3rd quarter.

Miscues would plague Gonzaga Prep all night. They lost three fumbles and an interception to help CV maintain the lead.

Gonzaga Prep ran for an amazing 626 yards with Zach Bonneau rushing for 308 and Griffin Hare running for 223. All of those yards and Gonzaga Prep was forced to settle for a 47-yard field goat attempt by Max Gruber in the closing seconds for the win.

The kick missed wide right to end the Bullpups perfect season as CV won the game 37-35.

Lewis and Clark at Shadle Park

The final game of the regular season featured Shadle Park's passing attack against the Tiger running game. LC rushed for 285 yards including 193 and 3 touchdowns from Coleton Fitzgerald.

However Rypien and the Highlanders were too much through the air, throwing for 381 yards and 3 touchdowns as Shadle (4-4) knocked off Lewis and Clark 31-21.

Brett Rypien reached the 3,000 yard mark as he continued to distance himself from the previous record as his season will end with  3,169 yards. Tanner Pauly also broke Jason Bates' single-season receiving record in the GSL of 1,091 yards with 1,110 for the season.

Rogers at Mt. Spokane

Both Mt. Spokane and Rogers have endured tough seasons on the gridiron, but Friday provided an opportunity for both to end the season with a "W". The Wildcats and Pirates traded scores throughout this one as Rogers led 14-13 at the half.

Both teams would add a touchdown before Mt. Spokane (2-7) would score the final 21 points and go on to beat Rogers (0-9) by a score of 41-20.

The Pirates' Luke Rogers moved into 5th on the GSL all-time rushing list with 3,150 yards in his career. Tyler Huck, the 3rd-string quarterback for Mt. Spokane, had three touchdowns (two passing, one rushing) and Zach Stensland added three touchdowns of his own.

North Central at University

The University Titans had the ability to use this game as a tune-up for the playoffs next week as they had the number one seed locked up for 3A. The problem was that North Central came to win.

The Indians outgained U-High 390-227 and the game was deadlocked at seven through three quarters. In the end, turnovers would haunt North Central.

Collin Deyarmin would return an interception 60 yards to the house giving U-High a 14-7 lead. The Titans would go on to win 21-14 with North Central's 5 turnovers playing a huge part in the victory.
